Institute for Capitalism and the Public Good is an independent foundation for reseach and ecucation. It wants to reach out to people who wish to live a good and autonomous life, who do not expect the state to solve their problems, but strive to do this on their own, making their own efforts. This group may include enterpreneurs and university students, journalists and scholars, politicians and any citizens interested in public affairs. Institute for Capitalism and the Public Good wants to promote a form of capitalism in Hungary in which individuals are paid for their knowledge and achievements, and where those better off hold it their duty to help the poor, where prosperty presupposes honesty, and where dedication to values and good traditions is respected.
Institute for Capitalism and the Public Good wants to become a major voice in the public discourse on economic and social policies, to convince more and more people to embrace the values advanced above.
To achieve these goals, the Institute regularly publishes research findings, evaluations, policy analyses and summaries. To prepare these publications, the Institute applies independent, qualified, and distinguished researchers and scholars, who share its normative foundations, and it also draws on the work of economic experts who are members of its Club.
